Alex Cuba, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, was born in Cuba, and has lived in Vancouver, Canada since 1999. It was there that his music began to move away from the more traditional aspects of the Cuban sound into a pop, funk, and jazz-fusion direction. The recipient of a Grammy award in 2022, and the Canadian Juno Award several times, Alex is the son of a music teacher and grew up performing from an early age. The Series’s first foray into Hispanic music brings renewed excitement to this season.
