Gardiner Theater Think Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael and the great dance bands of the '20s, '30s and '40s, as the Pasadena Roof Orchestra plays well-loved classics of jazz and swing. This British band (no, they're not from California) is hugely popular in Europe. In the fall, they will come to the US for the first time in many years.

Gardiner Theater PCS welcomes "the Criers," a 17-member string orchestra that is memorable both for the quality of its performance (the New York Times says they “brim with personality") and for their distinctive Stage presence – all players except for the cellists stand while performing. Based in Boston, the Grammy-nominated group is in residence at that city's Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
Gardiner Theater When Sybarite5 played in Pawling in 2011, we knew they were special, and the years have proved us right. Mozart with Radiohead? Bach with Piazzolla? This year the five-member string quintet will present their take on "A Charlie Brown Christmas," followed by more of their eclectic ideas about classical and contemporary music.
Friday, March 31, 2017 • 8:00pm
Gardiner Theater Cristina Pato, a Galician bagpiper, pianist and composer, is taking the world music scene by storm, with her incendiary combination of Latin music, jazz, contemporary and classical. Hailed by YoYo Ma - she's a member of the Silk Road Ensemble - she will bring her quartet (double bass, accordion, drums, piano and bagpipes) to Pawling to play a program based on her suite "Latina," written in the joyful dance rhythms of landó, joropo, festejo.
