Gardiner Theater Inaugurating the 42nd Season, the Series makes a bow to melodic, contemporary American sounds - pop music - with a most unusual quartet, Sons of Serendip. A lead vocalist, a pianist/guitarist, a cellist/vocalist, and a harpist found themselves by chance in grad school at Boston University. The television competition, America's Got Talent, gave the musicians First Place and this summer they are performing with the Boston Pops. Pretty good fortune, we say.

All Saints' Chapel Listen to this rich Argentine musical tradition in a chamber music setting that just serves to enhance the diverse and exquisite arrangements of such composers as Villoldo, Rodriquez and Astor Piazzolla. The ensemble features piano, bandoneon, cello and double bass. The music, "nuevo tango", breathes subtlety, swagger and sweetness. Sit back and enjoy.
All Saints' Chapel "The four men sing with intelligence, nuance and consummate artistry" (Richmond Times Dispatch). With 5 CD's to their credit they employ a modern touch to repertoire that ranges from medieval melodies to contemporary compositions. The a cappella artists will be supported by the warm acoustics in the Chapel in a special holiday concert.

All Saints' Chapel Canada shares with us the Sultans of String, its renown ambassadors of musical diversity with a global tapestry of Spanish flamenco, Arabic folk, Cuban rhythms and French gypsy jazz. While these master musicians often appear with major symphonies, it is the infectious sounds that
create in the audiences an irresistible need to dance.
